EAS Tags Electronic article surveillance is nothing but a technological process for preventing shoplifting from small or large retail stores, pilfering of books from libraries and book centres or removal of items and properties from official buildings. There are some special tags that are fixed to or owned by merchandise or books. These tags are detached or withdrawn by the clerks or the attendees when the item gets bought or checked out. At the exits of the store or a specific location near exit point, there stays a detection system sound of an alarm which alerts the staff or clerks after sensing the active tags.
